Forever Laser Dark is a transfer paper for laser and LED printers, designed for printing on dark and coloured fabrics. The product has been developed for applications where the design needs to remain clear and highly visible even on a dark background. As a result, it performs well wherever standard paper for light-coloured fabrics fails to deliver the desired result. 

The manufacturer states that Laser Dark paper ensures crisp graphic reproduction, clean cut edges and print durability up to 40°C. The paper is used for personalising promotional and event clothing, as well as small batches of printed textiles. It is suitable for creating lettering, logos, graphics and promotional designs.

This paper is designed for use in laser printers, which reach high toner fusing temperatures during operation. This means it is compatible with the standard laser printing process used in print shops, personalisation centres, advertising agencies and small-batch production facilities.

How to use Laser Dark transfer paper

We use Forever Laser Dark paper for printing on dark and coloured fabrics using a laser or LED printer and a heat transfer press. 

The process involves printing the design onto transfer paper, cutting out the graphic along the outline, removing the backing paper, and pressing the print onto the fabric. 

For letters, text and more intricate shapes, it is possible to cut out the design using a plotter. Once the transfer is complete, wait for the recommended time as per the manufacturer’s instructions and remove the protective layer. The manufacturer also recommends cooling the protective layer before removing it to minimise the risk of damaging the print.
